About Me

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but in 1997 I found another place I loved to be: on the other side of the microphone, helping other people find their moment in the spotlight.

Nearly 30 years later, I’m still doing it.

As The Karaoke Vagabond, I’ve spent decades hosting karaoke and DJing everything from neighborhood bars and wineries to private parties, weddings and special events. For me, it has never been about simply pushing play. It’s about reading the room, finding the right song at the right moment, encouraging the nervous first-time singer, celebrating the regular who owns the stage, and creating the kind of night people don’t want to end.

I’m also a singer myself, performing with North of Nowhere, a trio rooted in Americana, folk, country, rock, blues and the songs we would love to perform for you. Being a performer keeps me connected to what it feels like to be on both sides of the sound system—whether I’m singing the song, handing someone else the microphone, or filling a dance floor.

Karaoke Vagabond. DJ Vagabond. North of Nowhere. They may look like three different hats, but they all come from the same place: I love music, I love people, and I love what happens when the right song brings a room together.

Coming up on 30 years, I still love doing this. And I’m not done yet.
